Two happy, smiling teen girls

Let’s celebrate your teen.

Forget about bending yourself into a pretzel to get colleges to like your kid. They’re already awesome.

But managing this process is difficult and stressful if you haven’t worked in higher education and there are a lot of moving parts.

I can help them pick a major, choose schools that fit their academic and personal goals, and write essays that really get admissions attention.

College Admissions Secrets…

and draws in admissions officers.
I’ve written for magazines and media outlets like Collegiate Parent, Thriveworks, Thrive Global, and Autism Parenting Magazine.

I know how to tell a great story.

More importantly, I can teach your teen to tell their story in a way that sparkles and draws in admissions officers.

The lies we hear is that teens need to contort themselves to get admitted. The truth? They should lean in to who they are. Their unusual interests. The story they really want to tell.

Experience

I have taught at Duke University (Durham, NC), Baruch College (New York City), ABCD University High School (Boston, MA), Massachusetts Institute for Technology’s SEED program (pre-engineering for high school students), YMCA Achievers (SAT preparation in Boston, MA), SAT and SSAT preparation for private students in Boston and New York City, and voice, piano, and general music for private students in Brookline and Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts.

Burned out?

I work with students remotely. If your teen wants to show up to our meetings in pajama pants, I won’t stop them. In fact, tell them to bring snacks.

I’m professional and experienced, and I’m serious about getting your teen into their dream school. But everyone has had a tough couple of years and there’s no reason our work together can’t feel comfortable.

Added benefit? No commutes, ever.

Don’t worry if your teen is a little . . . hard to handle.

I’ve successfully taught 50 college students at once, and I’ve also been doing this work for ten years. I know your teen is trying their best and is probably just very stressed out.

What people are saying:

Sarah’s kindness makes her approachable, and overall she is an amazing person to work with!

– Treniyyah, Duke University graduate

I have had the pleasure of working with Sarah in a PhD music program since 2015. Sarah is professional, skillful, smart, and is the most generous person I’ve ever met. She loves to help others, and is able to offer effective and constructive solutions. People around her trust her advice, and always feel comfortable asking for her suggestions. I highly recommend Sarah to anyone who needs advice in their studies!

– Dr. Yuxin Ouyang, Founder of Passionato Music

Sarah Curzi is a wonderful person to work with. She sincerely cares about all the people she comes into contact with, personally and professionally. Sarah is the first person I would think of to ask for any educational advice, as she also takes into consideration the personal and emotional aspect of education. If you are looking for any educational consultant who will put you in the right direction, while taking care for your mental stability, then Sarah Curzi is the perfect match.
